Hi everyone! My name is Maia (she/her)
Music has been in my life for as long as I can remember. I started out playing piano in elementary school, then I took up the trumpet around age 9. I participated in marching band, concert band, and more! While I enjoyed those classes, trumpet never really felt like something I wanted to pursue. I decided the summer before senior year of high school that I wanted to try out a harp lesson, and ever since that day, I haven’t looked back! In my 13 years of study, I have primarily learned from Elizabeth LeBlanc. I also attended two summers at Rocky Mountain Springs Harp Program, where I studied with Kathryn Harms. I have been very fortunate to have wonderful teachers who got me where I am today!
Outside of my musical background , my degree is in Early Childhood Education from Ohio University. I am currently nannying privately for a local family. I have equal love for both childcare and music, and I am very thankful that I am able to balance both passions in my life.
