Music has been in my life for as long as I can remember. I started out playing piano in elementary school, then I took up the trumpet around age 9. I participated in marching band, concert band, and more! While I enjoyed those classes, trumpet never really felt like something I wanted to pursue. I decided the summer before senior year of high school that I wanted to try out a harp lesson, and ever since that day, I haven’t looked back! In my 14 years of study, I have primarily learned from Elizabeth LeBlanc. I also attended two summers at Rocky Mountain Springs Harp Program, where I studied with Kathryn Harms. I have been very fortunate to have wonderful teachers who got me where I am today!
Outside of my musical background , my degree is in Early Childhood Education from Ohio University. I am currently nannying privately for a local family. I have equal love for both childcare and music, and I am very thankful that I am able to balance both passions in my life.
Some fun facts about me!
I am an identical twin! My sister does not play harp, or any instrument for that matter. She works in a science lab that focuses on working with patients who have Epidermolysis Bullosa, a rare skin disease.
I am originally from Cleveland Heights/University Heights Ohio, and went to the same high school as the Kelce brothers (I was not in school with them however; I am young enough to have missed Travis by one year!)
I have been a full time nanny for nearly 3 years, and the youngest child I’ve worked with was 3 weeks old! I love both of my jobs.
My husband and I own one cat named Ivy, who generally hates the harp, and all the acoustic instruments in the house. Since my husband is an audio engineer who plays guitar, Ivy is surrounded! She has come to tolerate practice time, but it’s still not her favorite. We love her dearly!
