Hi everyone! My name is Maia (she/her)

Music has been in my life for as long as I can remember. I started out playing piano in elementary school, then I took up the trumpet around age 9. Although I played trumpet all through school, it never really felt like something I wanted to stick with long term. I decided the summer before senior year of high school that I wanted to try out the harp. When asked why I wanted to try out a harp lesson all those years ago, I remember telling my parents “I think it would be really cool to play for someone’s wedding someday!” Ever since then, I haven’t looked back! In my 14 years of study, I have primarily learned from Elizabeth LeBlanc. I also attended two summers at Rocky Mountain Springs Harp Program, where I studied with Kathryn Harms. I have been very fortunate to have wonderful teachers who got me where I am today!

Weddings have become my absolute favorite type of event! Performing at ceremonies is a true passion, and I take your big day as seriously as you do. Every ceremony I am a part of is an absolute honor, and I don’t take the responsibility lightly!

Some fun facts about me!

  • I am an identical twin! My sister does not play harp, or any instrument for that matter. She works in a university lab that organizes drugs for clinical trials.

  • I am originally from Cleveland Heights/University Heights Ohio, and went to the same high school as the Kelce brothers (I was not in school with them however; I am young enough to have missed Travis by one year!)

  • I have been nannying for nearly 5 years, and the youngest child I’ve worked with was 3 weeks old! I love both of my jobs.

  • My husband and I have two black cats named Ivy and Clue! Thankfully, neither one of them have tried to use the harps as a scratching post…yet.
